Hello there! My name is Emily (she/her), and I am a passionate artist based in the Chicagoland area. I recently graduated Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Animation, minoring in Illustration. 
 
Now more than ever do I find human creation and the gift of representation to be so important to our lives. My goal is to inspire and comfort through animation and digital illustration, pitching my own concepts and aiding in the production of animated content on the visual development side of things. My favorite genres to work in are comedy and horror, though I love trying new things and playing around with different ideas. Most recently, I was the producer of my senior class's thesis film, Hitchhiker, where I got to sort through all of our content and manage our production schedule, which has taught me a lot about how much organization and communication goes into an animated project.
 
In my free time, you can find me thinking of my next big project, typically animation or game-based. While by no means being fully polished, I have pushed myself to create a series of visual novel based games with my partner and friends as a way to experiment with our skills and create room to explore new ways of artistic expression. We recently started development on a game with 3D modeling, which has been really interesting and is teaching me a lot about translating drawn concepts into a 3D space. When I’m not doing that, I’m probably playing Minecraft with an iced coffee by my side.
